It Makes a Difference

Do you like helping people move forward to a better life?  I absolutely love it when I can be a part of somebody improving their quality of living.  Now allow me to rant for a moment.  There is little that bugs me more than wasting my time attempting to help make a difference for someone who isn’t willing to change how they approach things.  The definition of stupidity is to continue the same approach yet expect difference results.  Read more…

Feeling Good

What do you do in order to feel good – and is it working as well as it could?  John, chapter 4, is a story about Jesus who is engaged in a conversation with someone I refer to as the “shady lady of Sychar”.  What is interesting is that this story is really about two people who want to feel good.  Jesus is wearied and hungry from the long journey so He sends the disciples for a take-out order of food.  Read more…

You Choose

How are you at making choices?  If you’ve ever wished God would just tell you what to do or make your choices for you, God has a message for you this Sunday.

Deut. 30:19 (NIV) –This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live

What happens if you choose death – how bad is it making a wrong choice and how does it impact God’s purpose for your life?  When you understand God’s will and how he uses our choices, even our bad ones, it will mean a whole new way of looking at yourself. You will no longer be limited by your abilities or weaknesses, it will set you free from feeling you must live under the tyranny of needing to make the perfect choice.

Eph. 5:17 (NIV) – Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.

Understanding what the Lord’s will is when it comes to making decisions will open the door to moving into God’s purpose for your life.
