How are you at making choices?  If you’ve ever wished God would just tell you what to do or make your choices for you, God has a message for you this Sunday. 

What happens if you choose death – how bad is it making a wrong choice and how does it impact God’s purpose for your life?  When you understand God’s will and how he uses our choices, even our bad ones, it will mean a whole new way of looking at yourself. You will no longer be limited by your abilities or weaknesses, it will set you free from feeling you must live under the tyranny of needing to make the perfect choice.

This Sunday is for you if:

When trying to figure out God’s overall will for our lives, we must first begin with the challenges in our everyday life.  God has a plan for each of our lives, but we often fail to realize how important our everyday choices are in helping us have peace with God’s big picture for our life.  Stop waiting for heaven to gain peace and joy.  Stop worrying about every little problem and every decision you experience.  Set yourself free from the guilt and feeling of not being in God’s will or the worry that comes with making wrong choices.  Just come this Sunday and set yourself free.

I don’t know about you but there are times in my life I have to refocus, restart, or redirect.   Sometimes it’s how I am living as a husband.  Sometimes it is as a parent or grandparent.  There are times I have to look at my friendships; both in how I am doing and who I  allow to be close to me.  Other times I must reevaluate my actions as an employee or leader.  The one area that is often easiest to overlook is also the very most important – how is my relationship, my worship, my calling, my serving, and my giving to my Heavenly Father?

Jeremiah 29:12-14 (MSG) – ¹² “When you call on me, when you come and pray to me, I’ll listen.

^13-14 “When you come looking for me, you’ll find me. “Yes, when you get serious about finding me and want it more than anything else, I’ll make sure you won’t be disappointed.” God’s Decree.  “I’ll turn things around for you. I’ll bring you back from all the countries into which I drove you”—God’s Decree—“bring you home to the place from which I sent you off into exile. You can count on it.

This is why we are having a revival at Rock Spring.  I believe God is asking us to refocus as a church but that also begins with you and I.  A move of God cannot be manufactured, but an atmosphere for one can and is being created.  Now it is up to you and I as individuals in God’s church.  I may or may not know your particular circumstances – where you are in relationship to growing in your faith or even what plans your Heavenly Father has for you  – however, I am praying for you in each of those areas. 

I believe because we share a connection called the Holy Spirit, that when I pray, even if I do not fully understand or know how or what to pray for, the Holy Spirit intercedes on my behalf and on your behalf.  I know that a number of you have been praying, reading God’s Word, and inviting the Holy Spirit to bless us with His presence this week and that some of you have even been fasting.  I want to take just a moment to thank you and let you know how much I am looking forward to worshiping with each of you this Friday and Sunday.  It’s going to be the best thing yet.
